SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager Cluster Africa who will work and grow within the company and will report to the Supply Chain VP. The position will be based in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
WHAT WILL BE YOUR MISSION AT BIOMERIEUX?
· Efficient and appropriately staffed end to end supply chain operations. This would include planning, inbound freight coordination, warehousing and distribution in order to meet/or exceed expected customer service targets
· Examining existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs
· Safety, regulatory and quality compliance of local supply chain operations
· Ensure alignment on customer service level promises and logistics costs between S&M and Supply Chain
· Ensure accurate planning, MRP and purchase orders submission are in place to fulfill customer commitments drive implementation and execution of VMI for specific product ranges
· Lead country demand management and S&OP meetings, support S&M team in forecast preparation, drive its accuracy tracking and improvement
· Ensure efficiency of warehousing operations, inventory management and stock accuracy
· Establish and maintain relationships with external logistic partners and monitor their performance
· Escalation point for resolving customer issues and complaints, ensuring proper tracking system is in place
· Ensure adequate reporting for supply chain activities (e.g. dashboards, KPIs)
· Ensure integrity of Material Master Data through coordination of cross-functional work required to maintain the records
· Supervise SAP supply chain key users and actively participate in Global SAP SC community, local SAP issues escalation point and problems solving in the area
· Co-operation with S&M and Sales Admin Managers to ensure SC activities are executed smoothly and continuous process improvement is in place
· Coordinate internal meetings and business reviews in area of responsibility
· Conduct distribution warehouses visits and performance reviews as required
· Prepare annual budget and control the expenses of area of supervision, actively seek distribution cost reduction opportunities
· Team leadership (recruitment, retention, engagement, appraisal, training & development, mentoring, motivation, renewal)
· Develop and produce accurate and timely reports to monitor the performance of the team
WHO ARE YOU?
· Tertiary level qualification, business or equivalent
· Minimum 5 years operational experience in supply chain area of which at least 3 years in a local healthcare goods distribution or related industry
· Capability to effectively select, manage and develop teams
· Able to work cross-functionally and influence a variety of stakeholders
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills in order to continually improve the outcomes in & beyond their area of direct responsibility
· Effective communication and time management skills
· Computer literacy, advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Proficiency in SAP or other major ERP system
